SECTION II:

Code of The Sic: Collective volume 1.1

Article 1.1: Communication Establishment- All potential Sic members are required upon 48 hours of their admission to the clan to obtain the current Voice over IP program (VOIP) of the community. Failure to do so within this timeframe can result in the immediate termination of the probationary member, and disqualify them from future opportunities with The Sic.
Article 1.2: Membership Validation- Upon entrance to the group, all probationary members are required within the standardized 48 hour time period to sign up on The Sic’s current website. This account must be made with their current in-game name unless otherwise specified, and they must adhere to the forum rules as well as clan code in order to retain their account as well as membership position.
Article 1.3: Administrator Right-to-Recruit- Upon obtaining the position of 1st tier administrator in The Sic, the admin retains the right to recruit as they see fit, so long as their criteria for admission follows in suit with the clan code, as well as any additional amendments that may influence the etiquette and process of recruiting as a whole. At no time will these admins require supervision by superior officers, unless otherwise requested by the party at hand or by a majority decree of shogunate staff.
Article 1.4: Sexual Harassment- Any form of harassment, not just of a sexual manner can be defined under the following terminology- and referenced by such examples:

-"a course of conduct directed at a specific person that causes substantial emotional distress in such a person and serves no legitimate purpose".

- To the before mentioned statement regarding the legal definition of harassment, the clan code is also to include the infringement upon rights of a group of individuals

-insults, taunts or challenges another in a manner likely to provoke violent or disorderly response.

The clan code dictates that all cases of harassment must be brought to the attention of a shogunate staff member, regardless of severity or subjects involved. Failure to comply with this can result in the issue being completely disregarded, as the alleged victim has compromised their claim in order to bring unmerited attention to themselves within the group.
Article 1.5: Readmission Policy- At no time will any individual be permitted to leave the group. This includes removing their main characters from the group, as well as an excessive period of time promoting their allegiance to another group, in the form of activity or resources granted. Failure to comply will result in immediate termination, as well as a seizure of all assets and resources granted to The Sic during the course of their stay.  All excuses regarding the AWOL status of any individual shall be deemed null and void unless otherwise overruled by Shogunate staff by majority vote. Readmission without necessary votes obtained can result in the administrator’s powers being stripped, as well as other corporal penalties being administered.
Article 1.6: VOIP Security Protocol- All VOIP programs in use by the clan must maintain a certain level of privacy in regards to outsiders. Upon admission to the clan, members must obtain the VOIP program, for participation purposes. However, it is the sole responsibility of the shogunate staff to provide the member with a fully-functional account, permitting them fair use of our VOIP resources. This account must adhere to the current mandates of rights for entrance-level members, as well as contain no reserve slot permissions unless otherwise specified by the gauntlet staff. Failure to comply with this can result in disciplinary actions for the negligent admin in question.
Article 1.7: Introductory Policy- Upon signing up at The Sic website, all members are required to register at our community website. After confirmation of their acceptance to the site, the probationary member must make an introductory post on the “Sickening Introductions” board in order to finalize the registration to their account. This action must be taken within 7 days of signing up, otherwise the account can potentially be deleted by the system. Failure to comply can result in disciplinary measures taken against the probationary member, as well as an extended stay at the entrance-level rank.
Article 1.8: Probationary Policy- All new members signing up are subject to a ranking system that entails a two week period of evaluation. This probationary period states that within the first two weeks of entrance, the shogunate staff reserves the right to terminate anyone’s account or membership, so far as they acquire permission from the gauntlet to do so. Probationary members who feel that they have been wrongfully removed may appeal the termination to the gauntlet staff of the guild, so long as it done within 72 hours of their initial involuntary termination. When removed from the community listings, shogunate crew members are expected to sign off on a probationary member form explaining the reasoning for their actions.  Failure to comply may result in corporal punishment.
Article 1.9: Tenets of Choubatsu- Clearly denoting the definitive variances of dissent as opposed to disloyalty, this amendment serves as a guide in order to weed out those who may be deliberately working against the good of the guild. These can include unresponsive members, those who express lackluster emotions towards lending a hand to others in need, or even those who are purposefully disregarding the rules of the guild out of a misguided sense of self-righteousness, and sedition. This act guarantees that such actions are to be reviewed by the shogunate, and if proven to fall under the jurisdiction of Article 9, then the subject may be entitled to severe action, as well as possible account termination. While all shogunate staff members may submit a claim of Choubatsu, however the final verdict lies with the gauntlet.
